ADPD and Momentum said that they have concluded discussions ”to cooperate” in the upcoming general election.

In a joint statement, Carmel Cacopardo of ADPD and Momentum’s Mark Camilleri Gambin, said that this agreement follows a number of meetings between representatives of the two parties where it was concluded that each party will maintain its identity. ”There are enough common thoughts and ideas on which there can be collaboration.”

ADPD and Momentum explained that the purpose of all this is to ”jointly strengthen the voice and effectiveness of the third party.”

They said that the exercise being carried out is a coordinated effort to:

Coordinate which candidates will appear on which districts, and

To send a clear message to the electorate to make good use of the transferability of the vote by giving their first preferences to the candidates of their preferred party and continuing on the rest of the candidates from both the ADPD and Momentum, thus maximising the value of their vote.
