Christian Abbiati the AC Milan legend, was welcomed in Gozo on Wednesday for an ”exclusive” meet and greet event organised by the Milan Supporters Club Gozo at Villa Fiorita.

The club said that the event was attended by approximately 100 fans, creating an engaging atmosphere for local supporters.

The evening featured a Q&A session led by a local sports journalist Chris Micallef, where Abbiati shared insights from his career and experiences at the highest level of football. Fans were also given the opportunity to ask questions directly.

Following the discussion, attendees enjoyed time for photos and autograph signing with Abbiati, before the event concluded with a standing reception.

During a short interview, the President of the Milan Supporters Club Gozo, Steve Cassar, explained how the club’s vision is evolving. While members still meet regularly to watch matches and assist supporters in attending live games, the club is increasingly focused on bringing AC Milan legends to the island.

Following the successful visit of Chicco Evani, Abbiati’s appearance marks the second such event, with further discussions already underway for future guests. The aim, said Cassar, is to strengthen community and fan engagement.

He also expressed his gratitude to all sponsors and committee members who made the event possible.
