Prime Minister Robert Abela has announced that the general election will be held on Saturday, the 30th of May.
In a message to the nation on Monday evening, the Prime Minister asked the Maltese and Gozitan people to choose who they want to lead them in the next legislature.
The PM announced that in due course he will go to President Myriam Spiteri Debono to dissolve Parliament.
