Europe Day 2026 will be celebrated in Gozo with a Europe Direct Gozo family event at the Villa Rundle Gardens in Victoria, on Saturday, the 9th of May, from 10am to 5pm.

Various EU information providers will be present at the fair, to provide any sort of information about the European Union and what is the remit of each and every organisation within the Union.

The event will also offer visitors valuable insights into the European Union’s role, its institutions, and the wide range of support services available to citizens.

Participants will have the opportunity to meet representatives from various organisations, learn about EU initiatives and programmes, and explore opportunities available for individuals, businesses, and communities.

On the 1st of May 2004, Malta became a full member of the European Union. Malta’s accession to the EU led to fundamental political, economic and social developments.

Since Malta is a member of the EU it can voice its opinions on the political issues facing Europe and the world.

Malta is at par with the other 27 Member States, with its six elected representatives which have helped shape the EU agenda on various issues that concern the Maltese citizens.
