25,000 guests stayed in Gozo accommodation during Q1

National Statistics Office data today has revealed that during the first quarter of 2026, total guests in Gozo collective accommodation increased by 15.0% to 24,979 on the same period of 2025, while nights increased by 12.4% to 56,466.
In Gozo, the NSO noted that the average length of stay remained at par with last years at 2.3 nights.
The net occupancy rate in Gozo decreased by 1.7 percentage points to 26.9% during the same period.
On a national basis, total guests in collective accommodation establishments during the first quarter amounted to 654,784, up by 15.5% reported in the corresponding period of 2025.
Total nights spent during the period under review reached 2,583,078 an increase of 11.0% over the previous year.
The NSO noted that during January to March, the largest share of guest nights (50.2%) was reported in 4-star hotels.
Net use of bed-places in the first quarter of this year increased by 0.4 percentage points, when compared to the same quarter of 2025, to 52.9%.
