An Evening of Song and Strings will bring Bir Miftuh’s Music Festival to a close on Saturday, the 30th of May at 7.30pm
Din l-Art Helwa said that acclaimed soprano Miriam Cauchi, talented Simon Abdilla Joslin -Violoncello and Maria Elena Farrugia – Piano, will be performing works by Gounod, Massenet, Franck, Lucantoni, Brahms, Foerster, Previn and Vella Gregory.
A highlight of the evening will be the premier of a short composition ‘Melita Rose’ by Mark Pullicino. The concert is being staged with the generosity of a Din l-Art Helwa benefactor and through the benevolence of Miriam Cauchi and Simon Abdilla Joslin who are performing pro-bono for the event.
