Immediate Police action in Gozo has led to the arrest of a man from Sannat in connection with alleged drug trafficking.

The Police said that it received information on Tuesday evening regarding the suspicious movements of a vehicle in the Marsalforn area. Officers immediately responded to the scene, where the driver was arrested.

A search of the vehicle by Police resulted in the seizure of substances suspected to be cocaine and cannabis, as well as other items related to drug-related activities.

The man, a 38-year old Albanian, a resident of Sannat, remains under arrest and is expected to be arraigned in court on Thursday morning.
