A 52-year old man has been seriously injured after the tuk-tuk he was driving overtured in Xewkija.

Police said the accident happened at around 4.15pm this afternoon in Triq tal-Kanal.

Preliminary investigations found that the man, who lives in St Paul’s Bay, lost control of the tuk-tuk and it flipped over.

He was given first assistance by a medical team at the scene before being taken to the Gozo General Hospital, where he was later certified as having sustained serious injuries.

Police investigations are ongoing.
