Police said that between Friday and Saturday, during Carnival celebrations in Gozo, 27 people were arrested by Drugs Squad and Gozo Police in connection with possession of illegal substances suspected to be cannabis, cocaine and ecstasy.

The Police said that they also arrested three Maltese individuals who were found in possession of what is thought to be cannabis, ecstasy and multiple sachets containing cocaine which were ready for supply.

Police investigations are still ongoing.
