The Gozo Business Chamber recently welcomed representatives of the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA) to its offices for a constructive meeting focused on Gozo’s economic development.

The Gozo Chamber said that the discussion explored the importance of further diversifying Gozo’s economy and creating new high-value-added opportunities, including within sectors that currently have a limited presence on the island.

The Chamber said it highlighted the need to identify areas in which Gozo can offer a competitive and distinctive proposition, supported by the necessary services, skills and wider business environment.

The meeting also provided an opportunity to exchange views as the MFSA prepares its forthcoming strategic priorities, while considering how greater collaboration with local stakeholders could support the development of suitable economic niches in Gozo.

The Gozo Business Chamber said it looks forward to continuing this dialogue and contributing further input in the coming weeks.
