Gozo Channel has advised that the Santa Marija weekend is one of the busiest travel periods between Malta and Gozo, passenger and vehicle volumes travelling across the channel are expected to increase significantly.
The company said that passengers are encouraged to plan their journeys accordingly, and allow additional time when travelling during peak times. Checking the live traffic cameras at Mgarr and Cirkewwa can help passengers see the latest traffic conditions and plan their journey accordingly.
Gozo Channel teams across the vessels and terminals will be working to support increased demand and assist passengers travelling between the two islands, it said.
The company said that it also takes this opportunity ”to thank our employees who will be on duty throughout this particularly busy period, working in the challenging summer heat.”
