42,000 guests stayed in Gozo accommodation during Q2

National Statistics Office data today has revealed that during the second quarter of 2026, total guests in Gozo collective accommodation increased by 12.6% to 42,169 on the same period of 2025, while nights increased by 13.5% to 114,788.
In Gozo, the NSO noted that the average length of stay decreased slightly to 2.7 nights.
The net occupancy rate in Gozo decreased by 1.7 percentage points to 47.8% during the same period.
On a national basis, total guests in collective accommodation establishments during the second quarter amounted to 857,857, up by 12.7% reported in the corresponding period of 2025.
Total nights spent during the period under review reached 3,613,049 an increase of 9.0% over the previous year.
The NSO noted that during April to June, the largest share of guest nights (48.2%) was reported in 4-star hotels.
Net use of bed-places in the second quarter of this year decreased by 0.3 percentage points, when compared to the same quarter of 2025, to 71.3%.
