”Work is currently underway at the Port of Mgarr in Gozo to improve the terminal facilities for the thousands of passengers who choose the fast ferry as part of their journey,” said Minister for Sustainable Mobility Chris Bonett.Writing on Facebook, the Minister concluded that ”in the coming days we will be putting in place further measures to further strengthen this popular service.”

This is long awaited news for travellers, with currently just a small open-sided tented area at the port which provides little, or no protection from the weather conditions of either baking sun or rain and wind and is certainly not large enough to protect the vast numbers of locals and tourists that use the service.
