Property developers, Kevin and Joseph Xerri of Qala, Gozo, have filed a judicial protest against MEPA audit officer, Joseph Falzon.
The complaint is over the fact that Mr Falzon is investigating their permit for a property development in Qala, whilst an appeal hearing is still pending.
Several NGOs as well as Qala Local Council have made objections to the development permit, stating that both the environment and the tourism industry would suffer if it was passed.

Well done Gozo News for showing us and reminding us what an ugly building it is going to be ruining the Qala Belvedere, an area I frequent regularly.
Two questions I would like to have answered are:
How they managed to apply for a permit while they had a stop notice?
Secondly, how a house and a restaurant was considered as a hamlet?
Can I get a straight answer to this please?

Money makes the world go round!
It really is a great pity that this belvedere has now been spoilt forever.
Shame on the authorities who would not listen to Mr. Falzon!
