The Ministry for Justice and Home Affairs would like to inform the general public that, in view of security requirements in connection with the visit of His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI, there will be a re-introduction of border checks at the Malta International Airport and the Valletta Sea Passenger Terminal for travel within the Schengen area.

These controls will be in place as from the 5th of April 2010, at 00.01hrs, to the 18th of April 2010, at 24.00 hrs.
