The stories covered in this weeks issue are:
1. Early in the morning of Easter Saturday, Gozo Bishop, Mgr Mario Grech, led a Marian celebration at the Ta’ Pinu National Shrine in Gharb.
2. An Easter Sunday manifestation with the statue of the Risen Christ was held at the Cathedral in Victoria. The celebration started with a concelebrated Mass for all families by Archpriest, Mgr Joseph Attard, followed by the blessing of figolli given to every child present. The Leone Band took part.
3. The musical L-Ghanja ta’ Mark (The Song of Mark), based on Mark’s gospel, was staged at Xaghra square on Easter Sunday. Taking part under the direction of Marvic Bajada were, among others, Audrey Bartolo, Miriam Sultana and Silvana Agius. The Santa Klara t’Assisi children’s choir, directed by Ms. Natalie Attard and Sister Michaela Calleja, also took part.
