Bank of Valletta has said that it is sponsoring the 27th annual exhibition of the Association of Model Engineers, which is being held at the Scouts Headquarters in Floriana between the 1st and 9th of May 2010.
This year’s edition will feature a large variety of static and working models by club members. These include military and civilian vehicles, aircraft, figures, ships, space & fantasy models, war gaming, steam engines, as well as an impressive electric train layout.
Speaking during the presentation Ms Joyce Tabone, Manager Marketing said, “Bank of Valletta has supported the annual exhibition throughout these past four years. We are pleased to see that this exhibition again promises to be of very high quality. Such initiatives encourage the artistic talent of enthusiasts and contribute positively towards the community by giving the opportunity to the general public to enjoy the various works put on show.”
Founded in 1983, the Association of Model Engineers is a non-profit making, non-ideological association made up of persons with a special interest in model engineering and scale modeling. The association helps its members to improve standards in the achievement of excellence in their field. The association has grown throughout these years to include many members who range from children to pensioners. The association has also gained recognition in numerous activities both locally and abroad.
The exhibition will be open to the public between 9:00am and 8:00pm.
