The volcanic ash cloud from the Eyjafjallajokull volcano in Iceland is continuing to cause flight disruptions in European airspace.

Due to these disruptions, Air Malta has said that their flights KM 100/101 to London Heathrow and KM 116/117 to London Gatwick that were scheduled to operate this morning have been cancelled.

Air Malta will be operating an extra flight to London to accommodate passengers originally booked on this morning’s flights to London. This flight is planned to depart Malta at 2120 hours local time. More details will be provided upon confirmation of slots.

Air Malta flights from London scheduled for this afternoon will operate as per normal schedule.

KM146/7 to Manchester will depart at 2045 hours local time instead of 1800 hours.

All other Air Malta’s flights are currently operating as per normal schedule.

The situation is a rapidly changing one. Air Malta is closely monitoring the situation and will advise its passengers of any changes in its flight operations as a result of any airspace restrictions.
