1. Bishop Mario Grech presided over the celebrations in the church of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Pompej, Victoria, on the occasion of the feast day. At noon, he led the faithful in the recitation of the supplication to Our Lady at the same instance that it is recited at its Sanctuary in Pompeii, Italy. In the evening, Bishop Emeritus Nikol Cauchi concelebrated mass in the same church and blessed a number of bouquets of flowers that were later distributed to the faithful present. The church is annexed to the mother house of the Domincan Sisters of Malta founded by Karolina Cauchi in 1889.

2. A new wooden crucifix for St Anthony church in Ghajnsielem was blessed by Fr Guardian JosephMagro, OFM. The crucifix was sculpted in Italy and paid for by several benefactors, including Joe Vassallo of Ghajnsielem, at present residing in USA.

3. Maltapost donated to Arka Foundation proceeds arising from several collection tins posted in their offices all over Malta and Gozo. The chief administrator for human resources, Mr Clint Meilak presented a cheque of €695 to Fr. Michael Galea, Assistant Director of Arka Foundation.

Fr. Galea thanked Maltapost for their donation and emphasised that donations and fund raising activities help the Foundation to finance the running of Arka Respite Centre in Gozo where persons with disabilities are provided residence on temporary or permanent basis.

4. Several books were donated to the Seminary Library by Mgr. Lawrence Sciberras.
