Heritage Malta will be opening seven sites for free on Monday 7th June, a public holiday. The sites three in Malta and four in Gozo are Ghar Dalam near Birzebbugia, the Inquisitor’s Palace at Vittoriosa, the National Museum of Fine Arts in Valletta and at Gozo the Citadella sites that is the Museum of Archaeology, the Folklore Museum, the Old Prisons and the Gozo Nature Museum.
As an added attraction, a group of artists will be taking part in ‘Re-Painted’ an event during which they will be making sketches of a live model at the National Museum of Fine Arts. The exhibition ‘Willie Apap: Works from the National Collection’ which is currently being held at the Heritage Malta Gozo Office at the Citadella will be kept open throughout the whole day.
Members of the public will also have an opportunity to become a member of Heritage Malta at a reduced price from any of these sites. This membership gives one the possibility to visit any Heritage Malta site (except for the Hypogeum) for free and discounted prices for special events organised by Heritage Malta.
