‘Twelve Steps’ is this summer’s leading must see event in Gozo, which started recently at the Citadel, Victoria. During the official launch, Victoria’s Mayor, Samuel Azzopardi, stressed the need for the revival of the Citadel, which is a natural theatre where many kinds of events can be staged.

Twelve Steps is similar to the ‘gioco-spettacolo,’ so popular in medieval and rinascimental fortressess in Tuscany, but with a local twist as all the characters involved are related to the Maltese Islands. This game-show is a first for Malta.

The Mayor augured that this concept should be adopted in other historical places, so as to enhance their cultural and touristic potential in a fresh manner where the audience becomes an active participant rather than a passive spectator.

Twelve Steps, is an epic timfest journey which is being organised by the Victoria Local Council and will run again on the 30th and 31st of July, 20th and 21st of August, 17th and 18th of September 2010, at 8.30pmat the Citadel in Victoria, Gozo.
