For the second year running, the St Joseph Band of Ghajnsielem, proudly gave a magnificent performance in Palazzolo Acreide near Siracua, Sicily, in celebration of the feast of St Paul.

The delegation of 80 people from Gozo, of which 50 were bandsmen, arrived in Sicily on the 28th of June. The band took part in a short march in the villa communale on the first day, a 3-hour giro di gala around the main streets of the village and a well received 2-hour concert in the main square on the feast day. The trip also included an afternoon’s shopping at Auchan and Siracusa and a day trip to Mount Etna and Toarmina.

The trip was made possible with the collaboration of Mr Ray Bondin, the UNESCO representative, who lives in the village of Ghajnsielem.
