What better way, at this time of year, than to spend an evening in the open at the vineyards of the Tal-Massar Wine Estate in Gharb?

The Circolo Gozitano will be holding an activity at the Tal-Massar estate in Gharb on Saturday, the 24th of July 2010. The Activity commences at 7pm with a tour of the vineyard, conducted by Anthony Hili, whi will go into the details of the viticulture methods used at the vineyard. This will be followed by a tour of the wine cellar during which an explanation of the oenological methods used in the Hili family’s wine making will be given.

The tour will include a visit to the caves, previously used as war-time shelters, now doubling up as wine cellars. The evening will be rounded off with a four-course home style hearty meal prepared by Ms Marisa Hili. Marisa together with her husband Anthony and the whole Hili family are the brains and brawn behind the Tal-Massar wine making project. Tal-Massar’s ‘Annu 2006’ Red will be served during the meal. Only 30 places are available for this event and bookings will be accepted on a first come basis.
