The funerals of the six Gharb fireworks factory explosion victims have had to be postponed, due to ‘complications’ which emerged when the first autopsies were held this morning.
DNA tests will now have to be carried out before the bodies can be released. The families of the victims have of course already been made aware of the delay
The funeral of Jean Pierre Azzopardi, from Xewkia, was due to be held tomorrow, Friday September 10th. The Funeral of Nenu Farrugia, his sons Noel and Raymond, daughter-in-law Antoinette and son-in-law Peter Paul Micallef, all from Fontana, was due to be held this coming Saturday, the 11th of September.
