Tarcisio and Maria Portelli recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a Mass celebrated by H.E. Mgr. Nikol Cauchi, Bishop Emeritus for Gozo, at the Gozo Cathedral, this was followed by a dinner at the Kempinski Hotel, San Lawrenz.
Their daughter Josephine and her husband Raymond Grech, also celebrated their 25th anniversary. Tarcisio and Maria have four other children, Frankie, Miriam, Michael and George, and two grand daughters, Sabina, 17 years and Samantha, 14.
The wedding ceremony took place at the Cathedral Church on May the15th, 1960. The Mass was celebrated by the late Fr. Michael Bezzina, ofm. conv. Maria`s brother Tarcisio and later his son Frankie for many years were the only distributors in Gozo for the Journals printed by the Union Press.
