The Chorus Urbanus Productions team said it is working hard on the final logistics involved with the preparation of this year’s fare for the annual Christmas Concert.

This year’s edition sees the choir performing in both Gozo and Malta. The Kalkara concert will be a cultural-musical evening to commemorate the visit of Pope Benedict XVI to this locality. The ‘Missa In Fractione Panis’ that was sung during the Papal Mass will be peformed during the evening together with other carols. The Junior Section will also take part in the concert that will be held at St. Joseph’s Parish Church, Kalkara, on Saturday, the 19th of December 2010, at 7.00pm. The concert will be presided by Mgr. Caputo, Apostholic Nunctio.

The Gozo concert will feature works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in the first part and an innovative fare of Christmas carols. The Urbanus Festival Orchesta will be performing together with the Chorus Urbanus Junior Section and the Chorus Urbanus.

The concert will take place at St. George’s Basilica, Victoria, Gozo on, Thursday the 23rd of December 2010 at 8.00pm.
