The Gozo SPCA have said that unfortunately as they are still full they cannot take in any more animals until until they are able to rehome some of the 13 dogs that they currently taking care of at the centre. They also have a waiting list of dogs who are in need of help from the centre.

The rehoming centre are in urgent need of loving foster homes for an undetermined amount of time, which will also enable them to be able to give some help to the dogs waiting for their chance of rescue.

Another way to help the animals at the rehoming centre in Victoria is to sponsor a dog or cat, which is an ideal way for anybody who cannot take in a pet, or perhaps lives overseas and would still like to help. For a donation of €30 (or more) per year, anyone can sponsor one of the animals at the Gozo SPCA rehoming centre.

The Gozo SPCA will send you a photograph of your sponsored animal along with details of how it came to be with them. You will also get a certificate of sponsorship, and the Gozo SPCA will also update you regularly on the progress of your sponsored animal.

Your donation will go towards the feeding, upkeep and veterinary care of the animal you have sponsored. It will also provide toys and treats which help improve their quality of life. Should your sponsored animal be lucky enough to be re-homed, then the Centre will transfer your sponsorship to another deserving animal of your choice.
