Vodafone Malta has announced that it has topped up the credit of all its customers who were facing the possibility of ending up without credit and who are currently in Egypt.

The mobile service provider said it was concerned that due to current events in Egypt these customers would have had difficulty in topping up. Vodafone Malta stated that in circumstances such as this one it is the well-being of its customers which is of paramount importance. All Vodafone Malta customers who had their credit topped-up were informed via SMS about this.

Meanwhile, regarding its network in Egypt, Vodafone Group made it clear that the authorities in Egypt have the technical capability to close the company’s mobile network. Vodafone was instructed to suspend services in selected areas, but voice services were then restored.
