The Order of Malta (SMOM) Gozo Volunteers, in collaboration with the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) and SOS Malta is urging people of good will to help in their relief efforts to send another consignment of medical supplies and emergency equipment for certain stricken areas in Libya particularly Misurata.

“We also need powdered milk, medicine, bandages and first aid material”, said a member of the Gozo-based Order of Malta charity organisation. “We also urge other Church organisations and agencies to join us in this effort in order to save as many lives possible.” This organisation also wishes to send more supplies by next week.

Last week the Order of Malta Gozo Volunteers succeeded to send to Misurata an advanced emergency kit complete with resuscitation equipment and EMS collars, medicine and other ancillaries. Those willing to help can call directly on 79 55 22 11.
