The Federation for Hunting & Conservation – Malta (FKNK) has congratulated Double-Trap clay-pigeon Shooter William Chetcuti, who won gold in Beijing, China at the ISSF World Cup, “he has done every Maltese and Gozitan national proud, besides achieving a great honour for the Maltese Islands.”
“Before leaving for China, William, who is also a hunter and a member of the FKNK, was out hunting hoping to bag his first turtle dove or quail this spring hunting season since four years,” FKNK said.
FKNK went on to say “We wish William luck in his hunting ventures once he returns to Malta before the closure of this spring hunting season.”
“We do not believe that BirdLife Malta also had William in mind, when a couple of days ago they declared that Maltese hunters “must be really poor shots”!
