The Wistin Camilleri Gozo Centre annual exhibition now open

More than 700 pieces works of of art produced by participants currently attending courses in the Wistin Camilleri Gozo Centre for Art & Crafts in Ghajnsielem, are being exhibited at the annual school exhibition.

The inauguration of the exhibition was held on Friday, at the Exhibition Hall within the Ministry for Gozo in Victoria.

During the inauguration of this exhibition, the Minister for Gozo, Giovanna Debono said that these works are the fruits of a full year in the centre promoting creativity and innovation in Gozo, while contributing to the sustainable development in relation to lifelong learning. The Minister went on to say that the centre was one of the first to benefit from EU funds after Malta joined the European Union.

The exhibition features paintings and art ware executed by participants during the current scholastic year. Art, ceramics, glass, silver jewellery, wood, metal, wood/stone sculpture, lace, papier-mache, thread filigree, textile design, fashion & fabrics, patch-work, embroidery, sugar-craft and parchment-craft are a few of the courses which are offered at the Centre.

The exhibits are projects, accomplished by participants who attended for one of the captioned courses. The age group of the participants are from 7-years upwards.

The exhibition is open until Friday, the 20th of May, 2011:

Mondays to Fridays: 8.00am to 12.00 noon and 1.00pm to 4.00pm.

Saturdays and Sundays: 9.00am to 12.00 noon
