During this week, Agenzija Zghazagh (AZ)) is organizing a series of activities for young people to celebrate the European Youth Week 2011. The European Youth Week 2011 is being celebrated in the member states and aims to facilitate structured dialogue to enable young people to influence youth policies and their implementation as well as the strategies of member states in the youth field.
Agenzija Zghazagh prepared a programme of activities to reach a wide variety of interests of young people. Activities were intended for young people, youth groups, youth workers and anyone interested in the youth field. The celebrations of the European Youth Week 2011 were also prepared in view of the European Year of Volunteering 2011 and the EU-China Year of Youth 2011. Activities included exhibitions, concert, forum, intercultural and volunteering experiences and a rock Mass. A number of activities were specifically prepared for secondary school students and included information sessions, training, discussions and adventure.
This year’s closing celebrations of the European Youth Week will be held at the Cittadella with a forum entitled ‘Malta, L-Ewropa u c-Cina.’ A Chinese youth delegation who will be visiting our islands as part of the EU-China Year of Youth 2011 celebrations, will be attending the forum which is being organised together with the National Youth Council.
The forum starts at 11.00 am and intends to celebrate the variety of cultures and to aid intercultural understanding. Due to limitations in the maximum number of participants, AZ urge all interested young people who would like to attend the forum to reserve their places in advance.
