The Committee of the Gozo Branch of English-Speaking Union (ESU) is presently drawing up an intensive programme of activities that will be implemented in the coming months. The objective of the planned activities is to promote good English language usage in Gozo. Through its activities the ESU’s Gozo branch seeks to provide Gozitans with the required communication skills, and the necessary confidence in the use of English order so as to realise their full potential.
Details of the planned activities will be divulged during an activity to be held next Thursday, the 30th of June at Ta’ Mena Estate, (located on the road from Victoria to Marsalforn) at 10.45am. Mr Richard Whale, the full-time Director of Education for the Malta ESU, be will be one of the speakers who will be addressing the meeting.
Attendees at the meeting will be provided with details of the planned activities. The ESU-Gozo Branch is presently looking for volunteers who will be able and ready to assist in the implementation of the planned activities. So anyone who would like to know more about the planned activities or, who is ready offer some assistance in the putting into place planned activities are invited to attend the meeting.
The Malta Branch of the ESU already has an ambitious programme as a result of two years’ hard work. The Gozo Branch of the ESU is seeking to extend the programme to Gozo, but it can do this, only if a number of more fluent English-speaking volunteers can be roped in.
The general public is invited to attend.
