A three-day workshop on actor training is being held between 12 – 14 July as part of the Malta Arts Festival . The workshop will be conducted by Italian actor and director Domenico Castaldo from the Laboratorio Permanente di Ricerca sull’Arte dell’Attore di Domenico Castaldo. (www.laboratoriopermanentedicastaldo.it)

The interdisciplinary workshop presented here focuses particularly on how musicality in theatrical performance is embodied by the performer rather than only serving as sonorous background to action.

The workshop sessions will be held at the MITP Theatre in St. Christopher’s Street, Valletta on Tuesday 12 July from 17:00 to 20:00, Wednesday 13 July from 17:00 to 20:00 and Thursday 14 July from 10:00 to 13:00. Participation for the workshop is €30.

Anyone interested in participating is requested to send an e-mail to Marilu` Vella at mariluvella.mcca@gmail.com.
