A brass hammering and art exhibition, ‘The Art of Sicily,’ is currently taking place at the Cittadella in Victoria.
The artist is the Sicilian painter, Corrado Iozia, who specialises in traditional antique style etching and hammering on brass sheets, some of which he leaves raw and some which he colours.
This time Corrado is also exhibiting some paintings on canvas. This exhibition has, so far been the largest collection of his work seen in this country.
Mr Iozia lives near Messina, but his works take him to various parts of Sicily as well as to other countries. His brass hammering is considered to be quite a unique artistry.
The exhibition is open until the 24th of August 2011. Everyone is warmly invited to visit this magnificent exhibit.
