Youth for the Environment (Y4TE) said that it supports the initiative of the 10-year dream for Malta with regards to environmental issues and to establish a green economy. “The National Environmental Policy which is now open for public consultation mentions almost every eco-issue. It talks about environmental taxation and job creation. It is a good sign that the government aims to double the number of green jobs,” Y4TE said.

Youth for the Environment went on to say it “encourages the people and students to read the draft National Environmental Policy and pass on their opinions. This document aims to provide a holistic view of the government’s direction with regards to the environment.”

Youth for the Environment is a non-profit organisation based on environmental awareness, efficiency and overall contribution to sustainability in society.

Y4TE was launched at the Extraordinary General Meeting held on the 6th of May, 2010. It is now also a member of A?enzija ?g?a?ag? (KNZ).
