Each year 2,000,000 sharks around the world are slaughtered by man. Man is the worst predator this animal has. Because of this, sharks are slowly moving towards extinction is nothing is done. Nature Trust (Malta) (NTM), as partner in Shark Alliance is campaigning for more protection and awareness.

Join Nature Trust (Malta) in the Shark week events

15th October – weather permitting – a dive, using the banner provided by Shark Alliance

16th October – a stand at the Fish Market, Marsaxlokk

21st October – a film night at the Uni – Sharkwater – 7pm – a talk will be given before the film by our shark expert Titian Schembri

23rd October – swimathon with a kid’s swimming club and activities on land
