The Gozo Emergency Response and Response Corps (E.R.R.C.) recently took part in an International Training Exercise abroad.
A group of volunteers of the Emergency Response and Rescue Corps joined other Civil Protection and Emergency Service Organisations from around Europe to take part in Codice 3. Codice 3 is an International Exercise of Civil Protection and Emergency Service which took place over three days from the 7th of the 9th of October.
Events of the weekend included several emergency simulations, some of which were held during the night, where volunteers from different organisations worked together to compare their potential and knowledge. Some simulations included fire evacuations from an elderly home and school, train accident, search and rescue exercises which involved K9, and a boat accident.
Other organisations at the weekend as well as the Emergency Response and Rescue Corps, were from Poland, Switzerland, Monaco, Czech Republic and Italy.
Codice 3 was organised by Pregnana Soccorso of Pregnana Milanese in collaboration with the Civil Protection Department of Lomazzo.
