The Maltese Association for Physical Educators (MAPE) will be launched on Thursday, the 24th of November 2011 at 1.00pm at the Institute for Physical Education and Sport at the University of Malta.

MAPE is aiming to bring the Physical Educator together with the vision of strengthening the field of PE and Sport in our schools. Membership will be open for all PE teachers in State, Church and Independent Schools, P.E Graduate Teachers currently not teaching the subject, Lectures in PE and Sport, ex-PE Teachers and University P.E. Students. All those who are interested are welcome to attend.

Also, nominations for the committee are being accepted until Monday the 7th of November. These details are to be sent to ipes@um.edu.mt. More details can be accessed on www.um.edu.mt/ipes.

In addition to the launching, the prestigious Dr.Michael Aquilina Award will be presented to a new graduate for his/her outstanding performance during the course.
