€20,000 in funds for Santa Lucija Administrative Committee

The Parliamentary Secretariat for Consumers, Fair Competition, Local Councils and Public Consultation is funding 14 project or initiatives in small communities, one of which is Santa Lucija. The Administrative Committee of Santa Lucija has received €20,000 to implement various projects.
Details were announced in Malta yesterday by Parliamentary Secretary, Chris Said. He said the Administrative Committees, which were introduced as part of the local council reforms, have now been working for 16 months. The Parliamentary Secretary said that the fourteen projects which will be funded this year were selected because they they will have positive a impact which will be effective on the environment and the quality of life of the residents in these communities.
Dr Said urged Local Councils and Administrative Committees to continue working together for the welfare of the residents and localities that they represent.
Santa Lucija will be carrying out work on three alleys, those of Martin, Donna and tal-Bieba, as well as Triq Santa Lucija. The funds were presented to the Chairperson of the Management Committee, Alfred Stellini.
