The 7th edition of the Christmas Market organised by the Nadur Local Council is going to be held over 3 days from Friday, the 2nd to Sunday, the 4th of December 2011, under the cover of a big tent in St Peter and St Paul Square.

This year’s edition is being organised in collaboration with Nadur’s twin city, Cicciano and the Parliamentary Secretary for Local Councils, Chris Said.

There will be a variety of stands offering among others, toys, crafts, Christmas decoration, cakes and confectionary, sugar modelling, bouncy castle, books and food and much more. Entertainment will be by Mago Marino.

The Christmas market will offer patrons the opportunity to shop around for gifts while enjoying the yuletide atmosphere created by a packed programme of entertainment. Father Christmas will be in attendance for children to take photos with.

There will also be a chance to have a look at the art of crib making and a Neapolitan crib to view.

The Gozo SPCA will also have a stall at the Christmas Market with their story boards explaining about the work they do, selling Christmas and greetings cards, the Gozo SPCA 2012 calendar, plus DVDs and books.

A delegation of 50 persons from Cicciano, Italy will be at Nadur from the 29th November to 6th December 2011 following an application entitled “Strengthening European Traditions through Volunteering” by the Nadur Local Council within the framework of the “Europe for Citizens Programme” Action 1: Measure 1.1 ‘Town Twinning Citizens’ Meetings,’ which has been approved.

All the stalls will be open on:

Friday between 6.00pm – 10.00pm.

Saturday : 4.00pm – 10.00 p.m.

Sunday 9.30am. – noon 2.00pm – 9.00pm.
