The annual international celebration for Christmas is being held at St Joseph Parish Church, Qala, next Sunday the 18th of December 2011.
This ecumenical, socio-cultural event, “Gozo International Celebration – Christmas Edition 2011,” marking the theme for this year, ‘Glory be to God.’
The celebration will take place between 6.30 and 8.00pm and is a welcoming occasion for all foreign nationals residing in or visiting Gozo and all are warmly invited to attend.
Gozitan artist Anthony Caruana will participate throughout the evening. Performances will take place by Dame Ruth Sammut Casingena, Magnificat Choir, Soprano Roxana Xuereb and Soprano Patricia Buttigieg, Tenor Joseph Buttigieg, The University of Malta, Junior College Orchestra and the Fourtissimo Brass.
The Horace Mercieca Award will be bestowed for the fourth time.
The evening will conclude with a reception at the Bishop Mikiel F. Buttigieg Hall, 28 April 1688 Street in Qala.
