A Christmas extravaganza at Xewkija’s “Magical Hili House”

Tucked away in the town of Xewkija, Gozo is the as the Hili family call it, the “Magical Hili House,” This Christmas decorations extravaganza took years to develop, the family said, “it sits in the hearts, not only of the town’s people, but all of Gozo and many a visitor that stumble across this feat of design and creativity.”

“Fast becoming legendary, this visual spectacular, stirs a sense of festive spirit and offers something special for all visitors, young and old. With over 300 figurines, 3000 light bulbs and countless other decorations the Hili house is packed full of Christmas spirit and good cheer,” the Hili family said.

Behind the scenes Marjohn Hili, the man with the plan and the vision, works tirelessly throughout the year to source and create more and more items to grow the theme each and every Christmas. Clearly the driving force behind this self-set community project, Marjohn is full of praise for the team effort supplied by his family and is spurred on by the encouraging feedback from friends, family and visitors, “There is something slightly addictive about what we create each Christmas and I think this comes from the smiles on people’s faces when they experience our creation. It is that wonder and joy created by the decorations and lights that push the boundaries of our own creativity each year.”
