The Adoration of the Magi taking place this weekend

The Bethlehem f’Ghajnsielem Nativity village will come to an end with the Adoration of the Magi on the Epiphany, Sunday the 8th of January 2012, when the three Wise Men will depart on horseback from the village of Mellieha in Malta to the Cirkewwa terminal where they will board a ferry in mid-afternoon to Gozo.
The Bethlehem f’Ghajnsielem nativity village Adoration of the Magi programe is as follows:
Saturday 7th January
10.30am – The Three Wise Men will ride on horseback from Palace Square (in front of Parliament) to Tritons Fountain in City Gate Square.
Sunday 8th January
9.15am – Departure of the Magi from Selmun Tower
10.15am – Arrival at Mellieha’s main square
10.30am – Short re-enactment of the Three Kings in the main square
11.00am – Departure from Mellieha’s main square to Cirkewwa
3.00pm – Departure from Cirkewwa with 3.00pm Gozo Channel Ferry
3.30pm – Arrival in Mgarr Harbour and departure to Ghajnsielem main streets.
The three wise men will make the triumphal entrance to the nativity village, Bethlehem f’Ghajnsielem, at around 4.00pm stopping at the grotto to present gifts to baby Jesus. This will mark the end of four weekends of animation and months of hard work.
The animation schedule until the closure of the Bethlehem f’Ghajnsielem nativity village will be as follows:
Sunday 1st 3.00pm – 8.00pm
Saturday 7th 4.30pm – 9.00pm
Sunday 8th (Adoration of the Magi) 2.00pm – 8.00pm.
