Pearl & Purdy are at the Gozo SPCA hoping for loving homes

The Gozo SPCA in Victoria are caring for two lovely young dogs both now looking for a loving home and in one case, sponsorship to help in her recovery.

Pearl is a a sweet young Pointer X female, who was picked up in November with a very severe fracture of the hind leg. The vet pinned the bone, which has healed well, however she has another older injury to her hip which will require further surgery quite soon. “Throughout her ordeal she has remained calm and good tempered – a perfect patient in every way,” the Centre said.

Although it will be some time before she can be rehomed, the Gozo SPCA spokesperson said that it would be wonderful for Pearl if somebody could sponsor her during her long weeks of recovery.

Purdy is probably a Staffie X- a lovely friendly girl, although she is rather too big and bouncy for the smaller puppies at the Centre to play with.

She is a lovely red and white dog, about 5 months old, unfortunately with a docked tail. She is very nice with everyone, but would probably be best as an only dog, unless she can be paired up with another equally fun-seeking dog.

Both dogs will be neutered before going to new homes.

If there is anybody who thinks that they can help with homes for Pearl or Purdy, or any of the other animals at the Gozo SPCA centre, then please email Betty Berry on info@spca-gozo.org. You can also contact them on 21553769 and 99475199 or visit their website at: http://www.spca-gozo.org/.
