The Sounds of Christmas concert was organised by the Victoria Local Council with the full collaboration of Chorus Urbanus Productions,
The concert opened with Festive Prelude and Christmas Medley by the Fourtissimo Trumpet Ensemble. Also taking part was the Chorus Urbanus Junior Section that performed the following two numbers, mainly Caro Gesu’ Bambino with soloist Stefan Scerri and Ninni La Tibkix Izjed during which the Juniors were joined by the Adults of the Choir. Throughout the concert the Fourtissimo Trumper Ensemble also performed Allegro from Vivaldi’s Concerto Op.3 No.9, Cordner’s Holly Waltz, Phillips Chiming Bells and Radetzky March by J. Strauss.

The Novel Band led by Remy Azzopardi and Gabriella Azzopardi, both members of Chorus Urbanus, joined the choir and ensemble in their performance of John Lennon’s War is Over.
Both the artistic and musical direction of the concert was entrusted to Mro Dr John Galea who also was responsible for the orchestration of the carols for the trumpet ensemble that were also augmented by a number of other brass and percussion instruments in the performance of some of the carols. The concert was compered by Chev. Joe M. Attard.
