Monsignor Dr Joseph Bezzina’s book about the Gozo Civic Council entitled ‘The Gozo Civic Council: The story of a Regional Government,’ is now available for sale.

The book, which is the first one to be published on this subject, was inaugurated earlier this month and deals with the move towards the achievement of a Regional Council responsible for the internal affairs of the island, the Civic Council’s work since it was establilshed in April 1961 and also lists several projects and initiatives undertaken until it was abolished in 1971.

Copies can be purchased from the Banca Giuratale, Independence Square, Victoria or at 3, Castille Place, Valletta. The price of the book is €15.
