Air Malta refers to the article, Gozo’s Air Malta office closure is an injustice – A. J. Stivala and would like to reply as follows:
“First, I would like to take the opportunity to thank the Air Malta team in Gozo for their hard work over many years.
Air Malta is currently undergoing a major restructuring exercise which involves changes in the way we operate. Unfortunately at times we must take some measures that, in the short term, are difficult and not universally popular. However, in the longer term we will create a healthier Air Malta which will become a sustainable airline, so that we can continue to serve all our customers.
This restructuring plan is not only aimed at re-organising operations but, most importantly, will make Air Malta more efficient. In this regard we are also taking steps to tend to our customer’s needs through our call centre and online services, which are of course available to our customers in Gozo. Naturally travel agencies based in Gozo will also be happy to serve Air Malta’s customers.”
Philip Saunders
Chief Commercial Officer
Air Malta.

Mr Saunders this a copy of the same letter you wrote on the Times of Malta, I hope you read the blogs in answer to that letter and perhaps you come out with a decent answer. And by the way Please do not patronise those two gentleman at the Gozo office of Air Malta, What do you care? after all you still are going to get your fat salary
@Tony S I think you heard the minister say that he doesn`t want a CUC malti to run Air Malta
I ask you Cikku did we need to employ a foreign ?u? at exagerated salary to economise in Air Malta
I tried to write cuc in proper Maltese but i got question marks instead. But we all know where the biggest question mark ought to be
@ Tony S .For all the time that Air Malta has been in operation this government never gave it it utmost to make it more competitive.
Take for instance Azzura Air and those Avro planes that they used to carry spare parts on the same flight just in case .Thes two ventures milked dry Air Malta`s money .And now we are milking it`s workers for past mistakes .
Again it is Gozo that suffer loss of jobs, loss of a customer service office, loss of interaction with the company you want to do business with. Not good business practice to close the only office on the island.
Peter go tell all that to who has been in government for the past 20 years who neglected and left air malta broke
