The Gozo NGOs Association has announced that in this year of 2012 it will be focusing on three main tasks which are outlined below:
1.To Strengthen Gozitan Identity – by using Gozitan symbols such as Gozo’s coat-of-arms incorporated into Gozitan NGO logos, the use of the Gozitan flag, the use of Anthem of Gozo alongside the National Anthem in all official public activities. These symbols give Gozo its unique identity and distinctiveness and make Gozo more attractive culturally and touristically;
2. Establish training for NGOs – a number of courses are being devices by the Council to assist Gozitan NGOs increase their capacity-building process, sophistication, avoid duplication of resources and their overall effectiveness;
3. The Gozo NGO Centre will become the first ever NGO incubation centre in Malta – with the aim of assisting those individuals who wish to start an NGO and to be guided through the process. including children which is an innovative idea. Children who wish to have their own NGO can start one through this incubation centre which intends to commence operation in June.
