The Malta-EU Steering & Action Committee (MEUSAC) together with the Ministry for Tourism, Culture and the Environment and the Ministry for Gozo will be organising a consultation session on the recently published White Paper on the Prevention, Abatement and Control of Neighbourhood Noise.
This Paper assesses all forms of noise that are presently regulated through various laws. This includes, amongst other, noise from land, sea and air transport, noise from construction and industrial activities, and from operating various forms of machinery and equipment, noise within a workplace, from places of entertainment and from one-off events such as concerts and other types of miscellaneous noise within neighbourhoods.
The session, which will be conducted in Maltese, will be held on Wednesday, April the 11th, 2012 from 1.30pm to 3.00pm at the Conference Hall at the Ministry for Gozo.
The Minister for Gozo, Giovanna Debono, and the Minister for Tourism, Culture and the Environment, Mario De Marco, will be addressing the audience.
Those who wish to attend are kindly requested to register by contacting MEUSAC on consult.meusac@gov.mt by not later than noon of Monday April 9, 2012.
